Description and objective: JCB type excavator 180 Backhoe Training for NPORS or CPCS Red Card Cetification. The Training is for foundation training or experienced worker

Course provided on-site thoughout the UK for 180° Excavator / Loader Operator. Contributes to CPCS card.
Course covers all main areas associated with excavator operation including: General Safety (Rules & Regulations;
On Site Safety (linked to all practical sessions);
Pre-start Checks ( on equipment);
Safe Mounting & Dismounting;
Routine Driver Maintenance;
4 Basic Positions (park, site, road, digging);
Kingpost Position & Setting; Changing Buckets;
Site Stripping & Loading; Grading & Levelling;
Digging ( square-end trenches, large holes, ditching, battering, levelling); “Walking” (out of difficult conditions);
End of Day Maintenance;
Safe Site (at end of operations).
The maximum number on a course is 3 trainees. 2 trainees is the ideal number with one machine to ensure adequate machine time with each candidate.

Recommended course times for total novices is 10 days, this may be reduced to as little as 3 days (only with very experienced operators who have had no formal training).
