Description and objective: This course is designed to assist companies in the provision of basic job training for static & patrol guarding. This is the course required by the SIA to obtain a security licence. This licence comes into effect at the end of March 2006, and all security operatives are required to hold it.
The course covers part 1 knowledge based training, including customer care skills and health & safety. Part 2 is practical scenario based covering communication and conflict management. Both parts are assessed by a multiple choice examination Suitability: This course is suitable for new entrants to the security industry and those transferrring from other areas within the industry.
