Description and objective: A detailed review of the methods of calculating human error using THERP and HEART techniques. The development of the techniques and the means by which they may be applied to different situations is explained. The course explains the nature of dependence and when to use a dependence model. It provides an understanding of the regulator environment and presents an overview of NII, SAPS and more detailed IAEA guidance for the assessment of human performance. Suitability: Risk specialists, safety managers and advisors, systems engineers and managers with responsibility for human factor integeation.
