Description and objective: Helping reduce the risk of fire and it’s potential consequences as well as enabling staff to understand how to prevent fires happening. Giving staff the confidence to deal with minor fire using portable fire extinguishers in an emergency.

Participants will

· be aware of the principle causes of fire
· Understand what steps should be taken to ensure its prevention
· be able to identify the different types of extinguisher
· hands on practice in the use of various types of extinguisher
