Description and objective: This award is approved by the SIA for the purposes of applying for a Door Supervision licence.

Part 1 covers the Role and Responsibilities of a Door Supervisor (15 hours), including:
- appropriate behaviour
- civil and criminal law
- search and arrest procedures
- drug awareness
- incidents and crime scene preservation
- equal opportunities
- health & safety

Part 2 covers communication skills and conflict management (15 hours) and includes:
- reducing the risk of conflict
- dealing with incidents
- arrests

Suitability: This course is suitable for anybody wanting to work as a Door Supervisor, who needs to prove their competence when applying for an SIA Door Supervision licence.
