Description and objective: Picture research – the process of finding and selecting pictures for all kinds of publications – is a profession that requires a broad range of skills. This course covers everything you need to know, including picture sources, commissioning photography, fees and budgeting, the impact of new technology and copyright. There are 7 modules, a total of 36 units, with 20 self-check exercises, plus 5 marked assignments. These will mimic real-life situations as closely as possible, so you’ll be fully prepared for freelance or in-house work.
